Season 3 Episode 24 with Oliver Hunter

Join us on our season finale where today, Alex and Lisa chat with our Bee Sober Ambassador for men, Oliver Hunter about our new Bee Sober Men’s group and his reasons for wanting the space to be available to men in the online community.
Oliver came to drinking late. He was very small and often got asked for ID, the embarrassment of this kept him out of pubs until he was 21. After this there was no stopping him. At 27, he was hospitalised and told this was the beginning of organ failure.
He is now 16 years sober and enjoys helping others and passing on knowledge and most importantly support. Alcoholism is such a lonely journey, your recovery or comeback or whatever you want to call it doesn’t need to be. In fact, the new people you meet will become stronger friends than you’ve ever known.
All of the above has become true for Oliver as well as breaking a family cycle and raising children in a sober happy home is his greatest achievement.

Season 3 Episode 23 with Laurie McAllister

Today, Alex and Lisa chat with Laurie McAllister, a life and empowerment coach for sober and sober curious women, yoga teacher and writer of many things.
In 2016, she stopped drinking and turned her life around - she now supports other women to do the same through coaching, writing and marketing support for sober businesses. Relocating from London to Norfolk to Cambodia and back to Norfolk, Laurie believes we are all far more capable than we have been led to believe and we are all allowed to change our stories whenever we choose.
Behind the scenes she spends more time than she’d like to admit in her pyjamas and likes nothing more than a hot bath and a nice cup of mint tea.

Today, Alex and Lisa chat with Hollywood actress, director, producer and author, Brianne Davis about her recovery from and love addiction. This conversation is definitely one you do not want to miss.
Whether lighting up the big screen or calling the shots behind the scene, actor, director, producer, and writer Brianne Davis is one of the most electric talents to storm Hollywood by force. She recently wrapped two seasons as series regular in History Channel's "Six" as well as a role in the upcoming season of Netflix's "Lucifer."
Originally from Atlanta, Brianne moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Her first lead role came in 2005 with the blockbuster hit Jarhead, opposite Jake Gyllenhaal. Her credits include recurring roles on Hulu's "Casual," TNT's "Murder In The First," HBO's "True Blood," as well as FX's "Nip/Tuck," "NCIS: Los Angeles," CBS' "CSI: Miami," ABC's "Desperate Housewives," and HBO's "True Blood."
Not only an actor, Brianne is also an accomplished director and producer. Thriving behind the camera, as much as in front, she has produced three films with her production company "Give & Take Productions." She has directed two features: "The Night Visitor 2: Heather's Story" and "Deadly Signal," which premiered at the Sitges Film Festival in Spain.
Brianne has over a decade of recovery as a and Love Addict. She currently hosts and produces the popular mental health podcast Secret Life.
Brianne is the creator of two female-driven TV Series, "Take Back The Night" and “Secret Life." She's currently pitching them to networks with her producing partner/husband, Mark Gantt.
She recently finished writing her first roman a clef fiction novel, "Secret Life of a Hollywood and Love Addict," coming out February 12, 2021 for Valentine’s Day weekend.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their son Davis.

Today, Alex and Lisa chat with Sarah Rusbatch about how getting sober changed her life completely. Moving to Australia made her aware of how alcohol had become her companion and part of her identity. When Sarah decided to take a break from alcohol, she realised her life had so much potential.
Sarah is over 2 years sober and has since re-trained as a women's health and wellness coach with a specialism in sobriety and addressing unhealthy habits. She lives in Australia, originally from Manchester in the UK and attributes all the great things in her life to her sobriety. Sarah runs a global community for women looking to live their best lives.

Season 3 Episode 20 with Kath White

A year into her sober journey, in July 2019 she says she “found the amazing Bee Sober!” It literally changed her journey big time, she had a few sober friends already but they couldn’t always connect when she needed it. Bee Sober became Kath’s tribe.
She would go to Manchester for days out, brunch, meals. It was ace! She became an ambassador in August 2020 and really wants others to have the same chance she had! Connection is the opposite of addiction!
Kath has recently been diagnosed with ADHD and talks openly about how this has impacted her life and her sobriety.

Today, Alex and Lisa chat CiCi Reagan about her addiction to alcohol and how it has impacted her life, her journey to sobriety and how she uses this to helps others through her writing.

Cici believes that getting sober is just not drinking. Recovering is another animal. Cici realised that her drinking was a symptom of grieving for her mother and for masking the pain from systematic abuse she’d endured for 7 years.
She started to release this pain through writing poetry, short stories, and journal entries during therapy. She wrote during panic attacks, for her 12 step program, for her therapist. She shared what she was going through. CiCi published a poetry anthology and started a community for people like her and has been sharing her story publicly since 2012.
Cici believes if she can use her experiences and talents to help others, in a way, that makes what she’s been through worth it.

Today, Alex and Lisa chat to Laura Cook Boldt and Tom Boldt about their book, Unravelled, and their amazing joint journeys as a Mother and Son in recovery.
LAURA COOK BOLDT was born and reared in St. Louis, Missouri, and is the daughter of the late Mary Margaret Blair and Howard Winston Cook, both from Jefferson City, Missouri. Married to Tom for thirty-plus years, mother of four grown boys, and sister to a mix of five siblings all currently living in the US, she graduated from Colorado College with a BA in English and continued on to Parsons School of Design in NYC. Laura has also completed courses at Pratt Institute and Washington University. Currently a retired designer, Laura continues to travel, spending most of her time in the mountains of Colorado and with her family. Unraveled, a memoir, is her first book, and she has begun writing another nonfiction book, by Dawn.
THOMAS HENRY BOLDT was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He is the son of Laura and Tom Boldt and the eldest of his three brothers. He has traveled extensively across many continents for racing, surfing, and exploring. Tom remains close with his brothers and extended family. His current interests include travel, hiking, and snowboarding wherever he can, and he loves anything involving recreation on the water. He is currently living in Orange County, California, and owns and operates a small company nearby. Unraveled is Tom’s first book.
